This weekend, several of our team members attended and volunteered at Carrboro Open Streets! This event is a collaborative effort with the Town of Carrboro, Back Alley Bikes, and The Bicycle Chain bringing community members together to participate in eco-friendly activities and outdoor fun! For the afternoon, Weaver Street in downtown Carrboro goes car-free and transforms into a vibrant space for cycling, walking, and exploring green initiatives.

The event also included the debut of Shift Chapel Hill-Carrboro, a new biking and walking organization created through a merger between the Carrboro Bicycle Coalition and the Bicycle Alliance of Chapel Hill. Read more about the events here: https://www.townofcarrboro.org/745/Carrboro-Earth-Day-Open-Streets

Our team was excited to learn more about how this event is organized and run and so that we can do a similar event with our partner, Habitat for Humanity, for other local communities!

¡Resumen del Evento! Carrboro Open Streets
