New Bus Shelter!

🎉 New Bus Shelter at Dorothy N. Johnson Community Center!

Through successful resident advocacy, Hillsborough Public Spaces and Sustainability and Orange County Public Transit installed a new bus shelter at the Dorothy N. Johnson Community Center. Installation was completed in early January. The new shelter will provide a comfortable space for bus passengers, particularly during the summer heat and rainy days.

This effort was part of the Activate! Fairview Active-Living Plan 2022-2027: a roadmap developed in 2022 outlining Fairview’s vision for a safer, more active, and vibrant community.

A huge thanks to all our partners: Hillsborough Public Spaces and Sustainability, Orange County Public Transit, the Town of Hillsborough, Fairview Community Watch, and Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, NC.

Nuevo refugio de autobús en el Centro Comunitario Dorothy N. Johnson!

Gracias a la exitosa defensa de los residentes, Hillsborough Public Spaces and Sustainability y Orange County Public Transit han instalado un nuevo refugio de autobús en el Centro Comunitario Dorothy N. Johnson. La instalación se completó a principios de enero. El nuevo refugio proporcionará un espacio cómodo para los pasajeros de autobús, especialmente durante el calor del verano y los días lluviosos.

Este esfuerzo fue parte del Plan de Vida Activa Activate! Fairview 2022-2027: una hoja de guía desarrollada en el 2022 que describe la visión de Fairview para una comunidad más segura, activa y vibrante.
