Public Transit Initiative Event!

Transit Equity | February 26, 2025

Our Public Transit project is advancing mobility justice through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and Chapel Hill Public Transit, generously funded by Central Pines. One of the ways we are doing this is by working to reduce barriers to riding the bus.

To this end, last weekend, FFORC led a community walk with current and future Weavers Grove residents to check out the paths leading to the closest Chapel Hill Transit bus stops. The day started with coffee, tea, and lively conversation - followed by a lovely group walk identifying the two closest bus stops to this community! Identifying these bus stops is a significant step towards improving public transit accessibility for everyone in the community!
