On May 20th, the Fairview neighborhood came together for a Bike Rodeo and community group ride. What unfolded was an evening of movement, connection, and a few wobbly first attempts at an obstacle course.
Participants of all ages had the chance to try out bikes, test their skills on a course, and then head out together for a scenic group ride through the neighborhood. For some, it was a chance to build confidence on a bike. For others, it was an opportunity to get outside and spend time with neighbors.

On-site bike tune-ups were provided by River Mill Cycles, ensuring that everyone's ride, borrowed or their own, was road-ready. A special shout-out to Brian Leu, who stepped up to help with additional tune-ups throughout, keeping things moving and the energy high.
The event wrapped up with cold treats, easy conversations, and something we love to hear: requests from community members ready to get bikes of their own.
Events like this are made possible by our valued partners and funders. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity of Orange County for their ongoing commitment to community well-being, and to Central Pines Regional Council for the funding support that keeps programming like this alive.
We're grateful to everyone who showed up, pedaled along, and made the day what it was. Stay tuned — there are more community rides on the horizon.Â
