🌈 Walk Fairview Day 2025!

Communities on the Move | August 9, 2025

Walk Fairview Day 2025 was a success!

Thank you to the Fairview Youth In Action intern for organizing it, our partners who showed up to share their support and resources, the Hillsborough police who kept us safe during our guided walk, and all the community members who came out to learn and celebrate!

This year’s youth-led projects focused on:

  • 🌱 Inclusive Parks: Making the Fairview Park more welcoming and inclusive

  • ❤️ Vibrant Places: Increasing use and connection of the Dorothy N. Johnson Community Center.

  • 🎨 Public Art: Designing art that reflects Fairview’s identity and values

  • 🍏 Healthy Food Access: Expanding access to food fresh, healthy food in the neighborhood

Event Highlights:

  • 🚶‍♀️ A guided neighborhood walk led by the youth interns

  • 🗳️Resources and tabling from local organizations

  • 📚FREE giveaways: School supplies, bike helmets, and more.

  • 🎉 Food, music, and celebration!
