🎉New year, new opportunities! Launch 2026 with Digital Skills Trainings 💻

As we begin 2026, FFORC is pleased to announce the launch of two comprehensive digital skills training series designed specifically for nonprofit staff, community organizers, and community partners.

These trainings were inspired directly by lessons learned from our participatory grantmaking (PGM) initiative. Partners voiced challenges with the technological aspects of the process but found tremendous value in learning digital skills applicable to their broader community work. Based on their feedback, we developed comprehensive training series for PowerPoint and Zoom applications.

📊 PowerPoint for Community Partners (5-part series): Learn to create presentations that effectively communicate your mission, impact, and funding needs

Topics include:

  • Creating impactful title and introduction slides

  • Showcasing organizational successes

  • Communicating goals and vision effectively

  • Crafting compelling support requests

💻 Zoom Mastery for Community Partners (6-part series): Build confidence in virtual meeting platforms to expand collaboration opportunities

Topics include:

  • Scheduling and managing professional meetings

  • Inviting and managing participants

  • Using essential meeting controls

  • Recording sessions and screen sharing

Both series are completely free, beginner-friendly, and use real-world community organization examples throughout.

Why this matters:

  • Small organizations maximize impact by accessing no-cost training resources

  • Virtual communication expands opportunities to build partnerships across communities

  • Professional presentation skills amplify organizational strengths and attract funding support

  • Digital literacy empowers organizations to fully engage in collaborative networks

These resources align with FFORC's commitment to building capacity among community partners and addressing systemic inequities through practical skill development.
