Happy Juneteenth

FFORC | June 19, 2025

✨ Today we honor Juneteenth — a celebration of Black freedom, resilience, and joy. We reflect on the past, stand for justice, and commit to building a future rooted in equity and liberation for all.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas were finally informed of their freedom—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It honors Black liberation, resistance, and joy. We can celebrate by supporting Black farmers and food businesses, increasing access to healthy, culturally meaningful foods, uplifting Black voices in nutrition and wellness, and creating safe, inclusive spaces for movement and community gathering. Juneteenth is a reminder that true health equity includes food justice, land access, and the right for all communities to thrive.
