Participatory Grantmaking (PGM) End of Season Celebration!

Community Gardens | November 11, 2024

The 2024 inaugural Participatory Grantmaking (PGM) process concluded with a celebratory gathering on October 18, where we invited the first cohort of garden partners to share and celebrate this year’s program successes.

We had a chance to discuss the positive impacts their garden programs are making on their local communities, including the saving money on groceries, increased knowledge about growing practices and nutrition, and opportunities for social connection and community building.

A huge thank you to the Coharie Tribal Center, a participating garden partner, for hosting this event and giving us a tour of their annual sorghum production.

We are looking forward to building off of the success of this year’s PGM program by beginning our second iteration this Fall!
